Bryant: An Established Name in the HVAC Industry

Bryant has manufactured high-quality HVAC equipment for more than 100 years. Bryant is actually Carrier's sister company, having been acquired by Carrier Global in 1955. As such, much of their product line is similar to Carrier's.

Byrant is owned by Carrier, which also owns a number of heating and cooling product manufacturers, including Airquest, Carlyle, Comfortmaker, and others. The company offers a range of heating and cooling systems in three product lines with different price points – Evolution (top tier), Preferred, and Legacy.

Find your condensing unit and search for a data plaque or sticker on the side. You should see a model number and a string of numerals and letters. There should also be an even, two-digit number – which indicates the AC tonnage of the unit. This number is typically between 18 and 60.

Even though the Bryant is less expensive than Carrier, the company's units can still cost more than some other brands, especially if you opt for a model in the Evolution series.
